Just too much effort

So I didn't realize that I had another blog here.  Shows how internet savy I am!  I figure I will use this one for my cat, since it's titled appropriately, and I think my old roommate and good friend will enjoy it.

So this weekend the Fiance moved in, with full force I might add.  There were boxes, furniture, pots, pans, new dishes, and four hundred million cottonballs.  I swear women are made of cotton balls, toilet paper, and Qtips.  That's the majority of their belongings anyway.  Needless to say, there was A LOT of new things to check out and sniff.  Something that Harley loves to do.

The biggest additions were her two cats, and now that they haved lived in the house for about three weeks the dust has settled and everyone is getting along.  Or more to the point they are at the very least tolerating each other.  Harley, my cat, is not one to accept new things easily.  Much like his owner.  One of the newer things he has to get used to is her cat Newman.  He is a small orange tabby that is very exictable and quick.  He darts all over the place.  Harely doesn't really like fast movement.  In fact, a jittery bug will make him run the other way.  So with Newman running all over the place, Harley isn't exactly happy about it.  He combats this by jumping on top of a coffee table or couch or any lap that is available and just watches Newman fly all over the place.

Now one would think that might be the end of the story, but no, Harley needs to be himself and cause a little bit of trouble in the process.  So just as Newman might be winding down and will happen to walk by Harley, Harley will wait until Newman has passed beneath him and swat at his tail.  Nothing hard mind you, in fact I doubt his claws are out, but he does give him a bit of a smack.  This in turn makes Newman jump and start running around again.  I'm half convinced Harley does this just for the fun of it.  So in typical fashion Harley will get his kicks watching another animal run around crazily while he just sits there....again much like his owner.

However, last night we hit a new low of laziness in Harley.  Per the usual, Harley was sitting on the bed watching Newman run around.  As Newman was winding down he decided to hop on the bed as well.  Harley watched Newman walk by and sit down right in front of him.  Harley reached out to swat Newman and saw he was just out of reach.  But rather than stretching for it, he just gave up mid swat and just looked at him.

That's my cat ladies and gentleman, too lazy to even stretch.
